ITS Feda Ltd - our history
ITS Feda was formerly part of the Further Education Development Agency
(FEDA) which was established from an amalgamation of the Further Education
Unit and the Staff College and worked throughout the UK promoting curriculum
development, government education initiatives, and training.
In 1991, within the organisation a small group of specialist staff
was brought together to assist colleges with supporting the growing
numbers of computer networks in education.
In 1999 Due to restructuring of FEDA, the technical section was reformed
as a limited company owned by Reading College and School of Arts & Design
and renamed ITS Feda ltd. The college grew and developed the business
to allow ITS to grow its work into new product areas and a wider range
of opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
In January 2004 Reading College merged with Thames Valley University
(TVU) and ITS-Feda Ltd in turn became a wholly owned subsidiary of TVU.
In 2007 ITS Feda was transferred into private ownership and seeks to be a leading provider of IT technical services to education and commerce.
Currently ITS provides a range of services including IT consultancy,
technical support, Software and hardware sales, IT books for curriculum
and reference and vendor authorised training and certification in Microsoft,
Novell, VMware, ITIL and Linux products.
